Hey, remember in 21 when the Red Sox were bombing Astros' pitching.

Don't be like Boston, Seattle.

Yeah, the posthumous books are cash grabs by the family.

The Blue Jays celebrating a Thanksgiving tradition: inviting your neighbours over to feast on taters

Same. Sun Also Rises, In Our Time, and For Whom the Bell Tolls are amazing.

I defer to colleague Professor Jenkins: long winded and terrible jokes

Just didn’t hit. Vampire stories in every iteration bore me. Stoker is better than Rice, of course, but just not my bag.

Nick Fuentes’s show is back on Spotify after having been previously banned.

Would not be surprised to see him back on YouTube at some point.

Oh, more for boring:
Paradise Lost
Pilgrim’s Progress
Wuthering Heights
House of Leaves (not a classic but people love it for some reason. Not scary at all. Tedious.)
Divine Comedy

Ha. Good thing Djuna Barnes is just mentioned, but not seen.

I really need to look at that and Musketeers because of my love of the Baroque Cycle.

I have wanted to read both father and son, but never had the time.

I have read none of Dumas, sad to say.

Skimmed East of Eden for exams, heard great things about VF, but never read it.

Riveting:
Grapes of Wrath
Sound and Fury
Frankenstein
Invisible Man
Mrs Dalloway

Boring:
Jane Eyre
One Hundred Years of Solitude (I usually love Marquez, but so sloooooooow)
Dracula
Mailer, all
Roth, all

Some of the classics are incredibly boring and some are riveting and someone should tell me which are which (beyond everyone telling me Moby Dick is great actually)

Gilbert is visibly aging on the rubber.

Playoff baseball, man.

robot umps cannot arrive soon enough. that was garbage.
jonlewis.bsky.social
Gilbert is getting squeezed. That's twice he's struck Springer out in one plate appearance, and now he's on first.

Holy crap. This is terrible.

The article states it's "not related to the current U.S. government shutdown". But of course it is: they are both connected by the GOP destroying everything good about this country from the top down and the bottom up.
