For years, there's been a massive over-emphasis on food miles, and a massive under-emphasis on food type.
By far and away the best dietary decision you can make, for environmental, humanitarian and public health purposes, is to cut out animal products.

People like this Exxon CEO are really taking us for idiots, aren't they?
The word "Free" is certainly redundant, and perhaps the whole sign is. By and large, people aren't leaving their bikes at the Eclipse (busway) bus stops.
This graphic on the #NickLowe + Los Straitjackets Jet Pac Boomerang video made me chuckle. 👓
Urgh!! 🤢 Plastic packaging like this is totally unnecessary, and is polluting when it's littered and smashed into a hundred pieces. Needs to be prohibited. #plasticpollution #plastic #litterpick #RichmondPark
🍓 noticed this week that Sainsbury's is stocking strawberries from Dyson farms. I think we can be certain that Mr Dyson won't be paying the tax. 🍓
A Dawes isn't just for Christmas, it's for life! #Dawes Gazelle #DawesBike
From my experience, Kenley Road has a terrible problem with some drivers racing along it, way in excess of 30 mph. It needs physical measures of some sort. With parking on one side only, it's a drag strip for some.

How depressing. They, the architects and funders incorporated all the worst features of the unused and vandalised Kingston cycle hub.
What you're saying is that they made exactly same mistakes as Kingston Council made with their "cycle hub" at Kingston station. Did the the architects of this not visit Kingston? How thoroughly depressing. Such a waste.

Wish I could say it comes as a massive surprise that there's an overlap between the flag people and suspected fraudsters, but this is great work by the @birminghamdispatch.bsky.social.

A bike that's lasted a long time and still used regularly for transport? That'll be a #Dawes then. D

This takes me back to studying at the Institute for Transport Studies at Leeds 30 years ago 😃. My very first assignment was a presentation about car sharing. Tutor was impressed I'd found an article about some clever Germans who were car sharing using mobile phone tech to unlock shared cars.

happy sunday, remember that you are completely expendable to your employer and that when you die they will forget you ever existed within weeks and easily replace you
Presumably, he's referring to Portsmouth. Its still there! 🌟🌙
Today, I learned that, according to Wikipedia, musician Joe Jackson was nicknamed "Joe" because of his resemblance to schoolboy genius spy Joe 90. There was a time at school when I was teased for my likeness to Joe 90, too.
