Watching movies and anime and stuff. SUPPORT PHYSICAL MEDIA WHILE THERE'S STILL PHYSICAL MEDIA TO SUPPORT.
It's possible that what we were hearing in that scene was indeed Jax and Ribbit fighting (it would align very well with my theory of how things ended between them, in fact), but...

"I saw it! It's a lion! It's huge!"

If you know, you know.

We're definitely getting at least one scene in the next two episodes where Ribbit has actual dialogue, right? Because I don't think they'd go to the trouble of hiring an actual voice actor just for [muffled indistinct speech].

I'm not saying I don't believe them, but...well...I don't believe them.

Or, at the very least, Warner Bros. movies will TECHNICALLY be theatrical, but not on enough screens or for long enough to mean anything.

Also, what about physical media?

None of the Amazing Digital Circus cast are aware of the "6-7" meme.

I fell right into his trap.
Hey, remember what Caine said to justify doing the thing to Gumigoo?
"If I start losing track of who's a human and who's an NPC..."

Hey, remember all the outcry and resistance to the news that Netflix was buying Warner Bros.? 'Cause it seems like it just disappeared.
December 15, 2025 at 3:12 AM
Okay, but can we all take a moment to appreciate the irony of an episode designed to make fun of fan theories itself spawning a popular fan theory?

Is abstraction permanent or not?

Gooseworx said it was, which would definitely fit with the suicide metaphor the show seems to have established.

But if that's the case...what narrative purpose does the cellar serve?

I'm in the "they can't leave because they're copies/brain scans" camp, for one reason in particular - Pomni has been there for weeks. Her IRL body would likely have starved or dehydraded by now.

I don't think Caine was actually inducing Jax's fashbacks - he was REALLY banking on them wanting to stay with him, it doesn't seem to have even occurred to him that they'd be okay with leaving him behind.

If the intended takeaway from the series is "there's meaning to be found in a stagnant life", that would -to me, at least- imply they're not getting out. Having all (or most) the apparent lore be a rugpull certainly makes sense, in that case.

So, the "Jax ran someone over" theory has what looks like some decent evidence, but it does rest on the assumption that Jax was old enough to drive before he entered the Circus, which -while possible- I don't think is certain.

#TheAmazingDigitalCircus #TADC
So, Jax is 22, he's only been a adult for four years - you guys it's possible he's been the Circus that entire time? If not longer?

Him never having had to be a fuctioning member of society might explain a thing or two.

Pomni's hesistation makes sense for more reason than just trusting Kinger's judgment - she's been burned by the false promise of an exit before.

So, any chance of being able to make out what we're hearing here, or...?

I have questions.

I have a lot of questions.

Most of which are variations on "so, wait, was Caine setting this up for THIS long?" and "Why?"

December 13, 2025 at 12:40 AM
Hold on, did Caine seriously make "I get BSOD'd" an integral part of the adventure?

Feels like, uh, kind of a risk...

Oh, wait - I DO have something to say:

I KNEW IT! I KNEW JAX DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE

#TheAmazingDigitalCircus #TADC
Hmm...you think maybe Jax doesn't actually want to escape?

He does seem to enjoy his consequence-free violence.

Where do we go from here?

What if the reason Quentin Tarantino is having so much trouble getting himself to make another movie is that My Best Friend's Birthday actually counted as part of his filmography the whole time, so he's already hit ten?

Somewhere on Twitter is a user who's still mad about the character limit being increased from 140 to 280 and keeps their tweets to the old limit out of spite.
December 9, 2025 at 8:24 PM
I remember the way The Avengers was talked about ten years ago, and if you told somebody then that in 2025 it would be remembered as a relic of "when movies looked like movies", I think their soul would shrivel and die on the spot.
December 7, 2025 at 2:54 PM
Okay, I don't generally pay much attention to the business side of things, so this might be a stupid question but - is it normal for the Guilds to openly oppose mergers like this?
The Writers Guild of America says the Netflix & Warner Bros merger “must be blocked”

“The world’s largest streaming company swallowing one of its biggest competitors is what antitrust laws were designed to prevent.”
December 6, 2025 at 7:38 AM
It occurs to me, Pomni never at any point expresses a belief that anyone will come looking for her and pull her out of the Circus from the outside.

Not that the worries over what Netflix acquiring Warner Bros. means for movie theaters aren't valid, but I think what it means for physical media merits some concern as well.
December 5, 2025 at 11:54 PM
There was a major cultural moment THIS YEAR surrounding the theatrical release of a movie from a company YOU JUST BOUGHT.

(But, I mean, he has a vested interest in saying this. It would be good for his business specifically if it were true.)
Netflix boss Ted Sarandos was previously asked if they're destroying Hollywood

“No, we’re saving Hollywood"

"Folks grew up thinking, ‘I want to make movies on a gigantic screen and have strangers watch them ... [and have them] play in the theater for 2 months … It’s an outdated concept"
