This Thanksgiving I am grateful that we are finally starting to see headlines that read "Congressional Republicans…are openly blasting President Trump"
Congressional Republicans including Senator Mitch McConnell are openly blasting President Trump’s team of appeasing Russia, warning that doing so would not lead to lasting peace.
Republicans Fight With Trump’s Team Over Ukraine Talks
Senator Mitch McConnell and several other lawmakers accused President Trump’s team of appeasing the Kremlin, warning that doing so would not lead to lasting peace.

Were there such a thing as the Journal of Econometric Practice (BTW, there should be) this paper would merit publication as the lead article in volume 1, number 1.
Thanks, John. Marc and I thought this was an important paper to write. It was an issue that has long bothered both of us. Hopefully it helps applied peeps think a bit more carefully about their model.

Important work by @dlmillimet.bsky.social and Marc Bellemare that should influence econometric practice.

Hats off to the UW-Madison University Opera for their brilliant production of The Marriage of Figaro. The talent and energy of these young performers and crew never cease to amaze.

Very much looking forward to joining CMS for something wasteful and inappropriate.

RFK Jr. vs. . . .

December 1950: "With an aging population, medical economics becomes a part of a much larger problem of the need to change our social concepts to fit a new world. People made conscious of the magnificent achievements of American medicine look for more and more. And more and more they will have."

"When vaping became uncool, it paved the path for cigarettes." 🤔

Occasional re-up; somehow seems fitting as Thanksgiving week begins.
