Had a good run as a reporter for Lebanon (PA) Daily News until a hedge fund killed it; now sub-teacher at a votech; Philly sports (Arsenal, tennis, cycling too), music (jam bands), pets & politics as mood strikes. It’s always better with a song.

The NY Times published an editorial citing Susan Collin as "a moderate Republican." Collins is a reliable vote for Trump's agenda, has voted against democracy at every turn and supported extremist judges.

This is why people are abandoning legacy media--even while enjoying games, puzzles & recipes.
George Carlin was so good. I thought about this but while switching channels from football to baseball tonight. I’ll bet most people under 40, maybe even 50 haven’t heard it. youtu.be/aIkqNiBASfI?...

That’s like telling a cop, I saw four people run the stop sign and none got arrested so you can’t arrest me.
I think about the people who work for Republican members of Congress. The ones in local offices who speak to constituents. I think they are just as culpable for protecting the Pedophile in Chief as their bosses. How do they go home and face their teenage daughters? Shame on the enablers.

Going into week 8, Jalen Hurts has 2 turnovers all season. That's 16 TDs and 2 turnovers for a 5-2 Eagles team with no offensive coordinator or offensive line right now
Times are tough for Sixers, having to get dressed in a bus station.

7 million people marched today. That's 1 out of every 50 adults living in the United States.
7 million people marched today. That's greater than world's three largest militaries— combined.

@askhistorians.bsky.social has shared a few META posts in the past year that are relevant for #NoKings

"[Geenbaum] represented what everyone should strive to be: an obstacle, however small and seemingly inconsequential, in the path of fascism."

My favorite moment from the "No Kings" in Olympia today was when a lone fascist with a bullhorn was scared off by a woman in a bear suit making pelvic thrusts at him. I don't know if it was the sexual gesture or the bear costume that scared him but he left in a hurry. Unfortunately I wasn't filming.

I am proud of everyone who showed up today ✊

Whether your protest was three people or three hundred thousand, each of us was part of something huge. In big cities and tiny towns, Americans stood up.

So many people are ready to fight for our future!
