When you need to get to FCP/LCP/TTI, using links with DSD will be faster than waiting up to a second for a full-page animation

Note that this can be somewhat environment/infrastructure-sensitive since you'll need to independently host each component's stylesheet.

I guess if you really want you can use <style> tags but you'd have to guard everything with :host(my-element) to reduce style collisions between components

Been seeing stuff about FOUC with web components lately and it's neat and all but when working in an SSR/DSD environment you can use a <template shadowrootmode="open"> and throw a <link href> tag in there. Put a cousin <link rel=preload" as="style" href> in the <head> and you're good to go.

Trump: "I have determined that the fastest way to bring The Trump Kennedy Center to the highest level of Success, Beauty, and Grandeur, is to cease Entertainment Operations for an approximately two year period of time, with a scheduled Grand Reopening that will rival and surpass anything."

Current AI pricing/usage models feel like a throwback to when phone companies charged you for each individual SMS that you sent.

You also didn't own the phone; it was on lease via the contract.

IMO they're trying to do this with data centers and that's why consumer PC parts are disappearing 🫠

Be wary of ANYONE who:

1) is in a position of power, be it corporate, political, social, or financial

2) is connected with the current president

3) continues to go about life like it's business as usual

They're 100000% in on it, and their livelihood depends on the continuation of the status quo.

What's funny is the only person who I've read actually went to see the Melanoma docuganda is Tim Apple, or as I call him, Ellen Degenerate

Feeling a bunch of pain and upset for all the Amazon folks who got dumped today.

Imagine telling the equivalent of the entire population of a small city that they're all fucked out of a job, all at once...
