10 mins from the airport my car breaks down. Panic. Think it through, this is ok. Flight's transferrable. Get it towed to a local dealership. Have them look at it over the weekend. Switch flights to one 3 hours later with a layover in Dallas. Trip not lost. BUT WAIT...

If they’re going to roll over like this after an electoral blowout less than a week ago, why bother electing Democrats to Congress next year? What would they actually do?
Major concession from Democrats here is enhanced ACA funds aren’t extended. Preserving them was Dems’ central demand in this fight. They secured a promise of a vote (which Thune has been offering for weeks), but that could still fail. Even if it passes, Johnson has made no promise of a House vote.

**If you live in a Democratic district, LITERALLY ANY OF THEM, contact your rep right now and tell them if enough Dems cave on the shutdown they ALL lose your support**

On the one hand, knowing early 2000s humor this absolutely fits... but on the other it's WILD that these lines were even *attempted* with a brand like MLB.
Elon & Co. have embraced "The Scouring of the Shire" with zero effort to understand its themes or context. Tolkien never intended a direct allegory but the text itself is clear: Direct opposition to exploiting the people or the environment for capital. Support for collective resistance. Full stop.

This isn't even racism by ignorance. EVERYBODY I knew growing up had people they called aunt and uncle that were often as distantly related to them as "really good friends with my mom or dad." Every culture embraced that kind of larger family and they're lying to deny it.
