i tabbed away & it changed its icon/title to look like a google search for "bigfoot nudes" until i tabbed back then it showed a "gotcha! that'll teach you to not turn javascript off!" banner which is such an Ancient Grognard Take that i'm kinda reeling. real ancient one spotted

i have learned to respect Big Midna over the years after being an “aw man really?” type for ages but i do want to have the best of both worlds by having her do some Umaru-chan situation where she comes home from the Princess Office and floats in front of her TV eating potato chips while 3 feet tall

it is one of the easiest ways to mess with hyprland without futzing so i get that at least but even if i hadn't separately encountered the guy's politics, there being a shortcut that says "post to X" is already a major red flag lol literally if you call twitter "X" you are my enemy almost invariably

i’ve been out of the linux desktop game for a minute so looking around and seeing shit like that and people enthusiastically integrating the ability to send prompts to chat bots into their system UI and shit has me like what are we even doing here. i thought linux guys were more grift-resistant lol

i was blissfully unaware of this guy’s whole Deal until i discovered that distro the other day and was looking around for stuff people were doing with it and only after a fair amount of that did i discover anyone saying “hey maybe we shouldn’t be giving this guy attention”

saw the credits on Z-A and while i remained a hater for the real-time battles all the way to the end, i did at least have fun with the story. real "sorry we never made Pokemon Z, let us fix that for ya real quick" hours

yeah, the lack of abilities is kind of off-putting to me because the ability change is so central to the original idea of megas. there's a whole super-important layer to all these new ones that we won't know about until they're in Champions...

it is really interesting that the power of megas comes maybe even more from being "unlimited plus moves install" than whatever stat changes they bring in this one. i'll be curious to see the math when people work it out

i think they were scared of explaining megas and plus moves at the same time but that meant i had a solid chunk of time where i was like "wtf is this symbol that showed up next to all my moves" all the way up until the next story beat that gave them a chance to pop up the tutorial lmao

this is making me think about how funny the adult reaction to the lion king was. i remember the whole “controversy” about the particles that say SFX supposedly saying SEX but no one was ever like “hey my kid said it made them feel funny when the girl lion pinned the boy lion down by his shoulders”

i went everywhere looking for glasses that weren't the ones with the mercedes logo in the middle and eventually gave up only to learn i had been right next to it but the way the little shopping zone the glasses store is in is laid out made me miss it entirely lmfao. why is that one like that

yeah it’s like, the basics are surprisingly easy but you almost certainly have to be told because you will not intuit them in any universe. it’s getting practice in to be proficient enough with the tools to make something that actually looks good that’s the step i’ve never got around to lol

you gotta Extrude and you gotta go find the secret button to turn on Loop Tools and use that Loop Cut. these are the dark secrets that immediately get you past the “putting cylinders next to each other” N64 world

i feel like that might have been a paper-mario-wiki post on tumblr but i can't seem to find it so either i'm wrong or i'm not hitting the right search terms but that might be a clue that takes you in the right direction (unless i'm misremembering lol)

yeah just the standard back and forward buttons aren't enough for how i'm used to using a mouse now and that's all anyone puts on every vertical mouse i've ever seen. i do think it's possible that some kind of "Ergo-Gamer" hybrid market arises in the next decade though so maybe i'll see one someday
