this happened to my copy too. i think that it literally just lagged too much and the fps drop caused it to be unable to connect with the hitbox. dont worry the end cutscene (spoilers) the guy owed a war tribunal almost puts you on one instead

its amazing that nintendo wont allow you to buy its old games and instead expects you to trust them to give you a selection of classics, and instead of stuff like Smash Bros 64 or Mario RPG you get shit like TUFF ENOUGH or Jet Force Gemini

My takes:

Jet Force Gemini is a solid third-person shooter that would've been great if it had more polish.

Conker's Bad Fur Day is a game that you should experience for the novelty alone. Just be prepared for some levels of developer malice that make Rusty Bucket Bay look accommodating.
