I don’t think I ever met an adult who didn’t smoke until I was in my 20s. Even the nuns at my Catholic school smoked - we could see them if we peeked into their break room.

I went out more when they stopped smoking in restaurants. It used to put me off my food and if too many people smoked my eyes started watering. Restaurants are lovely these days.
