I never smoked I’m 63. Dad was a pro boxer with the biggest hands you’ve seen. Gentle giant never laid a finger on me but said he’d knock me into next week if he caught me smoking. Best thing he ever did for me and he did a lot

Helen Richey was the first woman pilot hired by a US commercial airline (1934). The all-male pilots’ union pressured the airline to remove her, claiming women were “temperamentally unfit” to fly in bad weather.
