I agree that the NYT has let us down. But I judged this piece purely on its merit and shared it in such a way that you don’t need to be subscribed. It’s a good piece and worth reading.

Welker has no excuse. She offers a half-hearted pushback to an outrageous lie and when they double-down, she folds and lets them carry on with their narrative.

Every time.

It’s a disservice to her viewers and those in dire need of the facts.

Working, two kids, and I lost my mother a little over a year ago after a lengthy illness. My advice is, while your fiercely independent parent is still well, have them add you to ALL accounts and give you permission to speak on their behalf - health care proxy, SS, medicare, banks, credit cards etc.
