UK Labour confirms its status as the most overtly anti-trans Government in our history, and Wes Streeting as the standard bearer for that transphobia.

This approach was condemned by the Council of Europe just last week, but Streeting's "experts" know better.

Putting aside the fact that there's about as much chance of Labour's plans achieving their goals as me becoming an astronaut, it really says something about how much denial there is of climate breakdown when the Guardian runs something like this.

Jim McMahon's passion for elected mayors and jumbo-authorities and suggestions that other systems are "not acceptable" aren't great signs for Labour's devolution plans...

Scrutiny and connections to local areas matter - which is why committee systems that engage *all* elected Cllrs work better!
