Just another human trying to sort it all out. Opinions my own. 🔥 to /dev/null. He/Him/His.
Apparently this is a thing?
Look, not trying to tell *y’all* what to do. But I know what *my* reaction to seeing some dipshit in one of these rags is likely to be.

This was a response to a specific thing, but it’s a pretty damned good response to the world in general at this point.
Absolutely goddamn the fuck not

I’m raising money for Groveland Emergency Food Shelf, a South Minneapolis nonprofit that provides emergency groceries for those in need. They’re currently struggling to keep up with demand, and they’re getting their first $16k in donations matched.
I’ve got $50 on it! Can anyone match me?

and just because someone finally got their decades-old nazi tattoo covered up today doesn’t mean they’re good to go and we should immediately give them a leadership role, our unequivocal trust, and a pony.
it’s only the first step on a long journey towards building trust.

I know I just wrote a thing about accepting "imperfect comrades" but I don't mean people with Nazi tattoos, just the ones who get them covered up.

Naming the power imbalance & impact thereof doesn't desecrate those murdered two years ago today.

So here’s what I don’t get.
If you shoot someone with a gun by being negligent and reckless, you’re going to prison.
Why wouldn’t we have the same penalties for killing someone via reckless driving?
Texting and driving is like shooting a gun into a crowd. It should be penalized as such.

The first driver I saw on my bike commute this morning drove through their stop sign looking at their phone, saw another pulling a left turn in front of me, eyes on the device the entire time. I'm sick of this framing, let's take care of the real problem.

The DFL has the opportunity to differentiate itself from the GOP by living up to its own platform. This involves stern opposition to the transphobia and racism that has been popping up in campaigns in 2025. That simply cannot be allowed.
Oh no, after several hours of misgendering people on purpose it completely disintegrated into TERFs making fun of pronouns entirely

Just…what an ICON. A LEGEND who doesn’t know it. Did You know they led a fundraiser that opened a completely free community clinic for an entire neighborhood? And ANOTHER fundraiser every year for 4 years to provide portapotties for volunteers & visitors?

Old Soviet joke for today:
A man walks into a newsstand every day, looks around, and leaves.
After a long time of this, the owner says “Can I help you find something?”
“I’m looking for the obituaries.”
“The obituaries are in the back of the newspaper, comrade.”
“Not the one I’m looking for.”

I keep saying this but it remains true: Dems have not learned the central lesson of Reconstruction, that multiracial democracy cannot survive when those working to overthrow the rule of law & fair elections are allowed to operate with impunity.
the problem for Ds right now is not winning elections. they are doing fine at winning elections.
the problem is what happens *between elections.* as in, if you don't fight fascism between elections, election outcomes start not to matter. 1
