My short Elements book "Literate Workers and the Production of Early Christian Literature" is now available on Cambridge Core. It was a lot of fun to learn from the exciting scholarship that's been happening and I hope that it's a useful resource for people. www.cambridge.org/core/element...

And for students in particular, networking doesn’t need to be formal. You can just approach a scholar and say how you appreciate their work. No other motive. The scholars interested in the next generation will often ask about your interests and connect you with people.

My takeaway from every new Epstein revelation is that some powerful people victimized many powerless young women, many more knew, some actively enabled it--and we're still being told that MeToo and accountability for sexual violence have gone too far

Sexual abuse served up as reality tv drama is just sickening. For the survivors and their stories, I hope there is justice at the end of this spectacle.
