But also, when it comes to consent specifically, in the context of static images and illustrations what is and is not consensual is often going to be up to the whims and discretion of the person doing the moderating. This creates a precarious situation for anyone posting nsfw content.

Another Mori update: took him back to the vet this afternoon as he still wasn't very happy (and, after not eating since the morning, proceeded to throw up a few times just before his appointment). They managed to take bloods so hoping for further information on Monday (he is back in a hidey hole) 🙏

This is all well and good, but ultimately meaningless if you do not enforce things fairly across your platform. More rules are not going to improve the platform if you refuse to enforce them against fascists, the way you've been doing thus far.

In January, we started down the path of updating our rules. Part of that process was to ask for your thoughts on our updated Community Guidelines. More than 14,000 of you shared feedback, suggestions, and examples of how these rules might affect your communities. We especially heard from community members who shared concerns about how the guidelines could impact creative expression and traditionally marginalized voices.

After considering this feedback, and in a return to our experimental roots, we are going to bring a greater focus to encouraging constructive dialogue and enforcing our rules against harassment and toxic content. For starters, we are going to increase our enforcement efforts. Here is more information about our updated Community Guidelines.
