The *sole* redeeming feature of that otherwise dreadful film was casting Canadian Victor Garber as Ken Taylor.

This is absolutely incredible. I took a brief scan through a few of them (before I block them en masse), and they are all posting the most revolting, ham-handedly partisan bullshit you can imagine. Some even smack of Charlie K**k-style "Change my mind" crap.
By my count: Of the 15 Departments of the US Government, 13 launched new BlueSky accounts tonight (all but Justice and HUD), and all 13 have posted explicitly partisan political posts blaming Democrats and/or Chuck Schumer for the government shutdown.

That they did it a day before the nationwide protest is… Interesting

I believe they are working on moving the platform and parking to the south side, plus there's a viable plan on the table to divert freight traffic to the north, off those track and freeing them up for GO. www.miltontoday.ca/local-news/n...
New hope emerges for all-day, two-way Milton GO train service

And nobody who still believes in Trump will ever know or care. They will never see the ICE abductions and beatings, or see the brave Frog Army of Portland. All they see is what is fed to them by Trump and Fox and the media silo they have constructed, and so they continue to believe.
NEWS: An AFP fact-check reveals that a video posted by Donald Trump and the White House depicting "chaos" in Chicago as justification for deploying the national guard features old footage of incidents in other states including Florida, Texas, South Carolina and Nebraska.
It's unfortunate that the public imagines e-bike riders as crazed delivery drivers screaming up sidewalk at full throttle, instead of as middle-aged fat ladies with bad knees like me. It would help if 'e-ASSIST bikes' could be the preferred term, but I guess that's too much of a mouthful.
And yet, STILL no weekend or two-way service to Milton. I've lived here over 30 years, and despite endless and repeated promises from politicians at every level, we still have the same crap morning and evening weekday only service we had when there were only 30,000 people here.
Mmm... no, I'm pretty sure it's a green screen thing and you are seeing the snowy trees behind him.

Fascism is a slow boil.
Get out of the pot.

Come together.
This Saturday.

NO KINGS!

I just kept getting distracted by the two holes through your body where that top cat's eyes should have been 😉
He doesn't care. He and his suburban Etobicoke buddies in their monster SUVs hate cyclists, and since he doesn't need a single vote from the City of Toronto to keep winning elections, he'll just keep spouting dangerous, fact-free nonsense so long as it pleases his base.
We have 'sharrows' on our street, and they really are worse than useless. There's also a marked parking lane down one side which gets used more by cyclists than for parking. Which would be great, except that you have to veer into the 'sharrow' every time you run across a parked car.
Wow, me too! Small world! Although I only went to grade 12 (went to OCA). I mostly hung out with the computer nerds like Jeff Skoll, but was also into movies and music (Mr Grant!)
Went there too, although it was a little further afield. And Bakka. Did you go to York Mills Collegiate?
Ha ha - same! Every weekend during high school, I'd take the subway from York Mills to Bloor and then walk down to the Eaton's Centre, hitting Peter Dunn's, Queen of Hearts, that croissant shop, and finally Sam's along the way.

When Hollywood Does Canada: The Devil's Brigade
A fun movie that most historians and veterans feel isn't historically accurate.
The worst thing it did was completely ignoring the most-decorated member of the Devil's Brigade, Tommy Prince.
Now if only they would do Ticket to Heaven. Or Beautiful Dreamers. Or The Quarrel...
One of my all time favorites. Like too many Canadian films, it was impossible to find online until fairly recently.
