last summer I was suggesting CIOs get on top of their certs because they needed a strategy to handle all the changes coming: today the CA/Browser Forum agreed to set the max life of SSL/TLS certs to just *47 days* (by 2029, 200 days next year, 100 days in 2027 so renewal will be 6m, 3m, MONTHLY)

CIOs listen up: either plan to manage fast-changing certificates, or fade away

Certificate authority failures, container sprawl, post-quantum cryptography: a rising tide of issues means CIOs need a strategy to manage certificates and machine identities.
