I guess they'd have had to acknowledge trans people(or any other vulnerable group) even existed to have truly thrown them under the bus, but debating "abandoned" or "betrayed" feels like splitting hairs. After all, what really matters here is making things up to absolve the Dems of responsibility!

I am tired of hearing assertions that Democrats "threw trans people under the bus" in 2024 from people whose primary interest in the trans community is as cannon fodder for their revolutionary pipe dreams

Can you define "breencast" for the purpose of this assessment?

That sounds like a success, to me. 🥇

If you’ve never been in the military please understand the majority of us served for you.

We sacrificed time for you.

Most of us are not war mongers.

We served and fought for you.

Unfortunately right now the military is getting used as pawns for a dictator.

The Democrats were also something quite different from what they are today, though...

Why are the people who disagree with you beneath consideration? Why can't the world *ever* be allowed to get even a little bit better?? Why can't any part of it even stop getting worse, while the so-called grown ups just keep making excuses for it all??

This will age well when you convince some dumb kid to do something even dumber.

You're muted, dipshit.

I think you literally aren't? I mean, are you exploiting workers? There's a difference between being well off and *actually* doing a Capitalism.

Seems like that paranoia would at least somewhat depend on the circumstances of meeting. It's entirely possible to credibly demonstrate through one's behavior that one isn't motivated by such things.

That would also be difficult to fake for more than a handful of days.

all of life is screens, and all the screens are now haunted, and somehow we've got to somehow keep a society going on this set of facts.

I tend to think, even in the most cynical, electoralist view, they'd want to be able to say they did *something*.

If Dems win the standoff and get their policy demands, yes they will have substantively helped millions of Americans (a good thing, to be clear), but also they will have kept Republicans from a self-inflicted wound in upcoming elections
