Prediction: weak upper house independents cave and the stadium gets up.
- Libs will never be held to account because they will continue to languish in Gov.
- Alp will remain in opposition forever 'cause a) too gutless to oppose it and win outright majority b) to stupid to side with greens.

The coalition manages to put together a climate policy that guarantees electoral oblivion.
Nice work.

This is an example of where the Dems lost to Trump. Outspoken, funny, calling it out.
When @governorwalz.mn.gov and @kamalaharris.com were talking about how ridiculous and weird Trump was they looked and sounded amazing.
When the Dem suits took over it softened and lost the punch.
Obama: When I think back to a year ago, I remember talking to some people, who would say, this election doesn't matter all that much. That however the next president ended up being, it wasn't going to matter to them. If nothing else, the last nine months should have cured us of that idea.

Yep - that's a seriously great headline 👍
OK, regardless of source, credit where due: That's a great headline.

JD Vance claims that diversity weakens unions, as people end up distrusting each other and not organizing.

Let me tell you two menswear stories related to this claim. 🧵

I can't believe the Tas ALP.
On one hand screaming about handouts to TT line & their unsustainable 1.4billion debt, while supporting a 1.4billion debt for a stadium.

The mismanaged ferry project will be repeated at Mac Point.
It'll cost twice as much & take twice as long as forecast.

Not only is it going to look tacky, it's going to sound terrible.
A rectangular box with all that gilding - an acoustic nightmare.

At least it'll make it near impossible to hear the orange king.
Trump waves around renderings of his new ballroom, which appears to be entirely gold

How can Israel seriously demand Hamas return all the deceased hostages straight away?
It is almost certain that indiscriminate IDF bombing killed some of them, burying them under tonnes of rubble along with countless Palestinian civilians.

Israel will probably use it as a deal-breaker.

It frustrates me that Aurora can hold the Boyer mill to ransom when the only service they provide is as a middleman that reads the meter.
All because Basslink made Tas part of the NEM and Hydro can't generate and retail to Boyer.

I'm struggling with Josh Willie MP pushing a change petition to save Tafe courses...but supporting a debt-inducing stadium.
Here's a thought - drop the stadium Josh and use the $ to fund education and social services. They used to be pillars of the ALP.

I hope the ceasefire in Gaza holds.
But - I believe that this is but a brief pause until the remaining hostages are returned.
Once that happens there will be nothing to stop the Israel government completing the genocide of the Palestinians there.
I fear the worst, but hope for the best.

I was Producer, but also worked on the UI and UX updates and reworks and created the intro sequence and cutscenes.

Was a very cool project for the studio to do a full and proper refresh of our Creative Director's best loved work after nearly 20 years.

How many more missed opportunities and failures will there be before the Tas ALP's executive and backroom suits realise they're driving the party to electoral oblivion?

They have no means to lead the party out of the wilderness until they develop a moral compass.

It's time for change.

Tas ALP has completely lost the plot.
Winter now has a chance to finally demonstrate leadership by resigning.
Pathetic.

Once burned, they never forget. Ex-party members love sticking the knife into their old colleagues.
It's in the ALP's DNA unfortunately, State and Federal.
I don't think we'll seen the end of it anytime soon.

Tas Labour will end up in perpetual winter if Winter doesn't grow a pair, take on the backroom shadows in suits and provide some actual leadership.
Drop the stadium, kill off Marinus, recognise common ground exists with the Greens and cross bench.

Criticising or protesting the actions of the Australian Government is not anti-Australian.

Criticising or protesting the actions of Trump is not anti-American.

But...
Criticise or protest the actions of the Israeli government?

Trump has been given $175 billion in extra funding for ICE, which he is developing into a secret, private army, dedicated to removing his perceived enemies from view. It's not subtle and nobody should pretend to be surprised when they start snatching people on no basis whatsoever.

Iran might be able to defend itself for a little while, send some missiles towards Israel, but I fully expect the 100:1 rule to come into effect.

Winter needs to read the room. It's a great opportunity to reset: yes to an AFL team, let's reassess "a" stadium deal.
GWS, or Gold coast didn't need to provide a roofed stadium. Why should Tassie?
