One of my favorite photos I took today—in the heart of Chicago on Michigan Ave.. You can count many American flags, Chicago flags, pro democracy signs, & anti-fascist signs.

0 flags to a politician, confederacy, or Nazis. MAGAs claim patriotism—but its anti-fascist Americans who actually embody it.

NYC is so "out of control and crime ridden" that NYPD had to arrest (checks note) exactly zero people today.

100,000+ protestors. ZERO arrests.

ZERO.

This isn't only a major slap in Trump's face. It proves YET AGAIN that the only violence ICE fascists are facing, is violence ICE fascists incite.

On Jan 6, MAGA insurrectionists smeared feces on the halls of Congress.

Today, the MAGA cult leader Donald Trump posted an AI generated video of him smearing feces on peaceful protestors.

Trump is not an aberration of modern day conservatism—he’s a manifestation of it.

Honolulu No Kings. About 30-50% more than June I think (my pictures didn’t capture the crowd very well).

For those at smaller NO KINGS events, I count the people driving by, honking, waving, thumbs-up, fist-pumping, yelling - they were all there too! They voted for us (US!) while the people flipping off, thumbs down were decisively out-voted! What a glorious day!

The thing about No Kings is that Trump is in the Epstein Files.

Adelita Grijalva won her election to Congress nearly a month ago, but Mike Johnson still hasn't sworn her in. Why the delay? Perhaps it's because Grijalva would cast the final vote needed to release the Epstein files.

Rural hospitals are at risk of shutting down because of federal Medicaid cuts, which means:

❌ Fewer doctors
❌ Longer drives to hospitals
❌ Delayed emergency care

Every Washingtonian deserves access to a hospital, no matter where they live.

This week, a Russian strike on a textile warehouse in Odesa ignited a large fire that was difficult to contain. Nearly 100 first responders were on site to extinguish the blaze, and WCK arrived quickly to provide them with hot meals, sandwiches, and water to support their efforts. #ChefsForUkraine

I am not naive. I know we can’t just make nice & all will be fine. But we have to be willing to listen to one another & work together toward something better because being conned into thinking that our neighbors are the enemy & not the people pulling the purse strings is how we got here.
The challenge is that building relationships takes time & we don’t have much of that with the way things are going. But we can’t keep counting on heroic saviors to do the work for us.
