Our democracy is being dismantled by design, and the architects are platforms like Meta and X. Their algorithms prioritize outrage and division, spreading misinformation like wildfire and deepening societal polarization for profit.

I love Costco. I'm an executive member, and get back $400-$500 every year in cash back. As a Marine, I can't stand the lack of situational awareness from all the other shoppers in there on a Saturday morning. Road rage has nothing on aisle rage...

Remember how Trump salivated over the "beachfront property" in Gaza

Well, just like he wanted to take advantage of the conflict there, he's now looking to profit-with Russia-over the people killed in the Ukraine war

Because maybe-he thinks-that'll get him billions AND a Nobel Peace Prize
The Trump administration's corruption has extended to selling out Ukraine—and America's interests—to Russia so that the Trump family and their friends can make a few bucks.

I’ll tell you why the right wing is going nowhere. They have the most powerful megaphones on the planet: Faux News, Untruth Social & formerly Twitter. They are masters at propaganda and have been winning the (dis)information war for a decade. Their brainwashing program is top-notch.

The New Deal wasn’t built on a promise that there would be “no ceiling” for the richest Americans.

Quite the opposite, in fact. FDR knew its politics could only work if he singled out the rich as villains and knew that its policies could only work if the rich paid their fair share in taxes.

They’re simultaneously arguing that soldiers have to follow all orders from the president, legal or not, but they get to ignore orders from a federal judge if they feel they’re not legal.
KARL: Did you know about the judge's order when you issued your order for the planes to continue?

KRISTI NOEM: This is an activist judge. We comply with all federal orders that are lawful and binding.

If the Venezuelan sailors were enemy combatants, then the 2nd strike is a war crime.

If the Venezuelan sailors weren’t enemy combatants, then both strikes are criminal murder.

It’s that simple.

Walmart and McDonald’s are among the top employers of workers who rely on food stamps.

McDonald's CEO raked in $18.2M last year — over 1,000x the company's median employee pay.

Walmart's CEO pocketed $27.4M — 930x the company's median employee pay.

We spent a year investigating billionaires for @washingtonpost.com.

We found: the wealthiest 100 Americans gave $1.1 billion to influence the 2024 elections — 140x more than they did in 2000. And almost all of that giving boosted Republicans.
