I don't find him interesting enough at all to hear this much from him

I'm sad that they started out thinking big but they've just regressed to imposing the same limitations on themselves that exist in radio. Maybe some people like it, but I don't like half the show being reader emails, birthdays, and today in history.

@rookiemisteak.bsky.social I'm glad you said something. The combo of the 15 minute stinger that lets me know they're running on a clock of their own creation and Dan literally interrupted Jake's sports thoughts to do a sponsor read had me a little irritated yesterday.

Perfect posting from Tim Heidecker, 24 hours apart.
What an incredible experience, getting to perform at the Riyadh Comedy Festival. I left feeling grateful and humbled by his majesty's generosity. I'll never forget this memorial experience and all the fun we had. Hope to do it again soon. upon further reflection, there is a small part of me that feels I sent the wrong message, regarding the Riyahd Comedy Festival last night. While, I do think it's important for comedy to have the opportunity to thrive in all parts of the globe, there are some aspects of The Royal Highness, King Salmon and his leadership in the region that i don't agree with entirely, but it's a different culture when it comes to freedom and rights and I gotta respect that we are all different and have different values. My manager is now investigating the possibility of donating some of my fee to a charity for Vetrans of War.

Every now and then I remember the press reaction to Elon Musk claiming we live in a simulation was broadly “Real Life Tony Stark Elon Musk Posits Mind-Blowing Thought Experiment 🤯” instead of “This Billionaire Nutjob Doesn’t Think Other People Are Real”

I thought Affleck was a good Batman working with mediocre movies. He's a big, imposing guy, and I liked the brutality of his Batman. Clooney is easily, and by far, the worst. I like all of the rest for one reason or another.

That's way worse than the 360 on the chicken chunks I just cooked, when my fryer goes in 25 deg increments. But I think this one must be lazy recipe translation from another country. 356 F = 180 C

Save some for the last scene, you're gonna need it

I didn't know I hated body horror until I watched this movie. It was just too annoyingly gross at a certain point. I didn't like it.

“.. Inside the White House, top advisers joke that they are ruling Congress with an “iron fist,” according to people who have heard the comments. Steve Bannon, the influential Trump ally, likened Congress to the Duma, the Russian assembly that is largely ceremonial.”

But, if treated as a developing situation, I don't think Akaash was promoted as part of the festival, only Schulz. Fans of their podcast only found out today that they did a live pod there.

I don't know why he hasn't been on, and I thought it stood out to me, but I just looked and Jake had the idea during the Eagles stream last month to get him on, so it's not like he's shunned or not in contact.

I wonder if Schulz was never mentioned on IJB because they knew Akaash was going as well.

I liked him the first few times he was on the show, but then I was exposed to a bit of his podcast and was very quickly out on him.

Great kicker. Marc Benioff’s PR team wanted him to do an interview about philanthropy. Instead he sounded off on a bunch of Trump policies he supports and called for the White House to send troops to SF.

Doesn’t seem like the comms team was pleased with how the interview went..

It's like they're trying to make Jaxson Dart and Cam Skattebo The Disgusting Brothers

I'm glad the Cowboys didn't draft Skattebo so we don't have to hear this glaze every week

Fellow Grape-Nut enjoyer here, though I rarely ever eat cereal anymore. Guess I'm gonna have to Nut up this weekend. Might even stick 'em in the microwave.

David Simon, creator of ‘The Wire’, being interviewed by Ari Shapiro (NPR)
SHAPIRO: OK, so you've spent your career creating television without Al, and I could imagine today you thinking, boy, I wish I had had that tool to solve those thorny problems...
SIMON: What?
SHAPIRO: ...Or saying...
SIMON: You imagine that?
SHAPIRO: ...Boy, if that had existed, it would have screwed me over.
SIMON: I don't think Al can remotely challenge what writers do at a fundamentally creative level.
SHAPIRO: But if you're trying to transition from scene five to scene six, and you're stuck with that transition, you could imagine plugging that portion of the script into an Al and say, give me 10 ideas for how to transition this.
SIMON: I'd rather put a gun in my mouth.
