My understanding is their bites are terrible because their mouths are filled with bacteria (because they are carrion eaters) and thus the subsequent infections..

Plus they’ve recently discovered they actually have venom glands..

I’m pretty happy with that and had zero clue what purple was but solving yellow (last!) sorted that out..

As to how a platform (federated or otherwise) could block anything - is up to the platform?

Clearly they have to have some way to block on some existing criteria so presumably this is.. another one?

No, but the process of implementing age verification (policy as well as technical) may take far longer than the process to add sites to the government list.

I’d prefer to know if Bluesky has an actual position - and if that position is “Australians should go find another social media network”.
