Graeme Hart, 42, and his wife Karen, 43, issued a joint statement about their son, Finley, five, saying: “You don’t understand how hard Finley’s autism is on the whole family. Do you know how many times we’ve seen the same episode of The Octonauts?”
Parents of autistic boy in ABA: “We torture him out of love”
The parents of an autistic boy have released a statement explaining that they subject him to a cruel and humiliating therapy designed to make him behave less like himself because they love him.…

Damn. More tummy issues. Had a rough night but I’m more or less back to normal now. A few careful days and then I’ll be okay.

Helping a friend with university paperwork and it’s a very weird experience.

On the one hand. The paperwork is very difficult and frustrating… but… there’s also some super helpful lovely people who can help… so it sort of works out okay in the end.

Nervously waiting for accommodation info now!

I’d love to know why YouTube / iPlayer / Disney+ etc are absent on the Switch 2…

I bet there’s backstory there and maybe we will hear it at some point in the future.

It’s very annoying as it’s the perfect hardware for watching stuff :)

Oooof. Brutal.

I feel so lucky my friends understand my injury.

When I hit “erm, I can’t stand up right now” they help rather than push me to “just try”

It’s a game changer for prevent things getting worse.

Stopped watching the F1 regularly as its was an awkward time + quite boring…

Have been following this season from afar and watched the final race live with the BF.

Was fun. Nice to see a genuine championship decider come down to talent + strategy :)

GameChat on the Switch 2 is kinda amazing. Parallel play, collaboration, connection and damn good fun.

Impressive accessibility too :)

It’s completely revamped how I play games with my friends. :)

I need to write a proper blog post about it at some point.

Extremely interested in Metroid Prime 4… and I’ve behaved myself and asked for it for Christmas :)

My friends are amazing and it feels very silly but fun to be telling them about such things hehe.

Scientists recently combined the DNA of a cheetah with the DNA of a crab.
Things went sideways real fast.

Doing something a little weird today… doing medium ADHD meds… not for work / nerdy stuff… but to help me get a bunch of house stuff done without getting overwhelmed.

Erm… for folks with a Switch 2… if ya want extra storage space it’s probably a good time to buy some.

Looks like the daft price inflation for RAM and Storage is coming for SD Express cards next :(

Sam is so right.

Culture issues come home to roost as things like reliability problems.

Especially if a company looses a lot of institutional knowledge quickly which is a huge issue in tech right now.

(Also go follow Sam, he rocks. Damn good human doing interesting things)
The last Cloudflare outage, folks were sending me the post-mortem saying it was a really great technical deep dive. And it was!

But my retort was that with two big outages really close to each other, my worry isn’t the tech. It’s that this may be a sign of cultural problems compounding internally.

If the Venezuelan sailors were enemy combatants, then the 2nd strike is a war crime.

If the Venezuelan sailors weren’t enemy combatants, then both strikes are criminal murder.

It’s that simple.

I wrote a little about one of my favourite neurodivergent brain hacks… a well timed ‘productive distraction’.

It’s a good way to transition from one big thing to another… with a carefully chosen little thing in the middle.

Mark Kelly would be an excellent president. A literal life of service and achievement in science and public life.

He’s everything trump isn’t.
Re: Kelly

They're about to give a man who would be an unbeatable presidential nominee a huge moral platform and I don't think they've thought this through.

New blog for the lovely national Autism Central team that I work with. This one, on autism and intersectionality. www.autismcentral.org.uk/news/blog-in...

The aim of the project? A world where autistic people and their loved ones can find joy.

I think that’s something worth aiming for.

Do you?
