Huge historic turning point — Renewables surpassed coal as the world’s leading electricity source for the first half of 2025!

I went with the extra inverter pack so that we can be mostly off-grid, but it also increases resilience during brownouts.
There is also the option of linking the car to the house, which would add another 56-60 kWh of storage during emergencies. #EnergySky

It is pretty great!
I worked on pretty much all of the largest renewable energy projects during the early rollout, so it is a strange but satisfying feeling to have a renewable power plant of my own!
The best thing is seeing all of these small businesses run off their feet with orders!

Panels, battery and home inverter now fully installed, we are basically off-grid!
Fully electrified house, electric car so we don't have to pay for power or fuel. Thanks #renewables!
Really fun checking the app to watch the power generation during the day!

During the catastrophic black summer bushfires, I wrote a twitter thread debunking all the myths about climate change and bushfires. Went viral.
Was invited to write an opinion piece for the New York Times as a result, which was an incredible experience!

Has anything great happened in your life because of social media?
jagungal.bsky.social
Yeah, would be like riding a donkey cart compared to their subway system!

I felt bad for the locals when our judo team would pile onto a crowded train, we would shower after training but you still keep sweating like crazy! 🥵

They both work fine - on the organic orchard where there are flocks of chickens the ideal frames are convenient (and makes the chickens love me) as I can just feed the drones to them.
The green plastic are great for concentrating drones in a few frames though!

It is so good right? The automated barriers, and the fantastic vending machines linked to your rail card. Just awesome!

I have been putting drone frames in all of my hives to prepare, and it is great so far!
No varroa (yet) but they are right on the doorstep, and this sets us up for control.
Cheap way to do drone trapping - an ideal size frame in a full-depth box Another style of drone frame - cells sized for drone brood.

Good chance to do drone trapping!

The stunning River Peppermint (Eucalyptus elata) in full bloom in front of Parliament House.
Fantastic nectar flow heading into the beehives right now!

Dropping off some new bee colonies to an orchard, and the sunset was so good I had to pull over and just watch it for a bit.

I know right? An incredible way to experience different districts, so many variations. The ones around Kyoto were my favourite!
