I don’t know how many ways there are to say “Manchester’s economy is growing, so if we’re not going to do much proactive on infrastructure, can we at least not do stuff that’s actively damaging”

Just as you thought food delivery companies couldn't inflict any more misery on society:

Instead of using lowly-paid gig economy contractors to deliver groceries, they're replacing humans with robots, who, in turn, force humans off the pavement into road traffic.

Absolutely brilliant prick tease of a story, contains barely any facts, just a load of hyperventilating men talking in code about what will turn out to be a small wall at an angle no one has seen before, 10/10, great content. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

REVEALED: Willow trees on Dartmoor common owned by Prince William deliberately poisoned with herbicide

This is an outrageous act of sabotage. Dartmoor’s commons are virtually treeless already, due to centuries of overgrazing by sheep. The culprit must be found:

This government has not taken a single meaningful step to tackle the causes of the horrendous inefficiencies in the criminal justice system, instead rushing to dismantle trial by jury.

Legal professionals have offered numerous alternatives to address the backlog.

Ministers are not listening.

With today's West Coast Mainline meltdown it's insanely obvious we absolutely need HS2 to Manchester.

Is this vigilante graffiti removal on the Central Line or is that how it's meant to look?

“Cycle to work should be about helping ordinary commuters switch to greener travel, not giving tax breaks to high earners buying £4,000 e-bikes for weekend rides in the Surrey Hills. Taxpayers shouldn’t be footing the bill for luxury leisure.”

Why this is stupid -
So UK government policy is to cut benefits for those pesky cyclists and to make it cheaper to drive... got it www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...

The clever thing about going for stuff like the cycle for work scheme is it’s really noticeable, affects people with lots of media access and platforms, annoys green groups, and raises almost no revenue at the same time. Real win/win/win there.

On a waiting list for an NHS dentist. They just called me to say they can get me in at 3.20... I'm at work, so I can't.

They said they will call me in the future if any spaces become available.

When did this all get so dire?
