What do I see when I swim? 🏊‍♂️👀

It's not just the black line marking the center of the lane, a static point of reference as I go back and forth each lap.

It's also the dance of sunlight and water, constantly moving, shimmering on everything below the surface - beauty in motion ☀️🌊✨ 😌

I like to break up my set into shorter intervals (less likely to loose count of laps 😂) and a variety of strokes (avoid monotony 🙄)

I hear others describe "grinding out the laps" and I don't relate to that at all; I'm out there having fun because swimming makes me happy and makes me feel good 🏊☺️😌

I commented to our kids about goldenrod around our yard, and they told me very matter of factly "goldenrod is good for pollinators" 🐝😁

Being able to swim outdoors year-round is really cool 😎

The pool where I swim has a vestibule with stairs to allow entry into the pool without being fully exposed to cold or rainy weather on the deck.

On this day in 1978, President Jimmy Carter signed a bill legalizing (on the federal level) home beermaking in the USA, which was outlawed in 1919 during Prohibition.

I went to a Black Crowes concert one time - at a multi-day festival - and overheard someone in the audience say, "The Black Crowes? Aw, man ... I thought it was supposed to be the Counting Crows" 🤣

commitments in the office kept me from my usual lunchtime lap swim today 😮‍💨

but I made it to the fitness club after work and had the entire pool to myself 😁🏊
