What do I see when I swim? 🏊‍♂️👀

It's not just the black line marking the center of the lane, a static point of reference as I go back and forth each lap.

It's also the dance of sunlight and water, constantly moving, shimmering on everything below the surface - beauty in motion ☀️🌊✨ 😌

you succeed at "evoking a happy or calm feeling" ✨😉 thanks for sharing
Thinking about this a bit more, I can imagine figs being a wonderful compliment to the roasty malt of a stout. Hope this turns out great for you!
Rejected by the harshest critics 😭 My kids did NOT appreciate the pumpkin spice pancakes I made this morning 🎃🥞🍂🍽️

I was just thinking the same thing!
I like to break up my set into shorter intervals (less likely to loose count of laps 😂) and a variety of strokes (avoid monotony 🙄)

I hear others describe "grinding out the laps" and I don't relate to that at all; I'm out there having fun because swimming makes me happy and makes me feel good 🏊☺️😌

I commented to our kids about goldenrod around our yard, and they told me very matter of factly "goldenrod is good for pollinators" 🐝😁
It's pretty cool seeing these blooms in the fall ☺️ Do you also get blooms in the spring too?
Being able to swim outdoors year-round is really cool 😎

The pool where I swim has a vestibule with stairs to allow entry into the pool without being fully exposed to cold or rainy weather on the deck.
Brings this to mind again.
It seems fitting to see this portrait by Andy Warhol today, as events honoring former President Jimmy Carter begin in Georgia.
Cool - sounds like a good reason to celebrate 🍻😁
Happy Homebrew Legalization Day! 🍻

On this day in 1978, President Jimmy Carter signed a bill legalizing (on the federal level) home beermaking in the USA, which was outlawed in 1919 during Prohibition.

Home Brewing 🍺 is a very niche feed I created - you might enjoy it too 😉🍻

These look wonderful 😊
I went to a Black Crowes concert one time - at a multi-day festival - and overheard someone in the audience say, "The Black Crowes? Aw, man ... I thought it was supposed to be the Counting Crows" 🤣
Oh, I know what you mean 😒
I really am spoiled to have such a nice pool next to the office where I work 😅 so I make sure to take full advantage of this convenient luxury!
Hit The Drink 🏊 is a feed about swimming - you might enjoy it too 😉💦
commitments in the office kept me from my usual lunchtime lap swim today 😮‍💨

but I made it to the fitness club after work and had the entire pool to myself 😁🏊

at this point I don't think full assimilation will be achieved 🤣 also I think many small towns have an element of, "if you weren't born here, you'll always be a bit of an outsider"

"no, but my wife grew up here" is a standard reply for me 😁
might update my bsky bio to "Heartland kid in Southern Appalachia" 😉
This is the most accurate depiction of the Midwest to date. Wichita has always felt like the last Midwest city while also being the first plains city.
such lucky coworkers 😉
