Meta internally projected late last year that it would earn about 10% of its overall annual revenue – or $16 billion – from running advertising for scams and banned goods, according to internal documents reported by Reuters:
well, at least they'd have an easier time finding their way out. XD

Zohran Mamdani says on NY1 he didn't get a congratulatory call from either Andrew Cuomo or Eric Adams last night.

He says he got a congratulatory call from Curtis Sliwa, though.
"If it was safety, President Trump would be threatening to deploy the National Guard to the top 10 states of crime, eight out of which are all Republican-led," Mamdani added. "But because of that party he won't actually be doing it.”

‘I did better than Mario in 1977’ is the most id moment from Andrew M. Cuomo that you’ll ever see.
👀
Our message to Andrew Cuomo was loud & clear in June.

It’s louder & clearer tonight.
5) 1st mayor since 1973 not born in the U.S. (6 past mayors were immigrants)
6) 2nd mayor to be a member of the DSA
7) & last but not least (unless he decides to change his look before Jan 1) @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social will be the 1st mayor in over 100 yrs who sports a beard.
so all of the NYC mayoral historical marks following @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social 's win
1) 1st Muslim mayor in the city's history
2) 1st mayor of south Asian descent
3) 1st mayor born in Africa
4) 1st mayor in 100 years to be under 35 (2nd youngest mayor)
(continued)
Mamdani makes history with improbable, meteoric rise to become New York's next mayor, ABC News projects
He made "affordability" the centerpiece of his campaign pitch to New Yorkers.

And that the Board of Elections has handled twice the usual turnout without a catastrophe is a credit to one of the most mocked and usually dysfunctional arms of municipal governance (not part of state gov, not part of city gov, a distinct third thing — party hackery!)

Highest turnout since 1977 was David Dinkins vs. Rudy Giuliani, which hit 1.9m in both 1989 and 1993.
That’s 1,013,381 today as of 6pm and I believe 1.855M total including preliminary mail in ballots.

Looks sure to pass 2M votes by 9pm.

Elon Musk just posted and pinned this on X and pushing his followers (I guess the ones that are registered to vote in NYC) to vote for Cuomo

Another host, Eugene Daniels, asked Mr. Cuomo what he meant by diversity being a “weakness.”

“Diversity can be a weakness if you have antipathy among groups, Jonathan,” Mr. Cuomo said, mistaking Mr. Daniels for his co-host Jonathan Capehart, both of whom are Black.

the one and only issue with the episode is the final fight between Bowman and Superman. I get it, they needed to fill time but Superman shouldn't have to struggle with an out of shape detective in a normal helicopter.
