I still miss OG overwatch.
I remember seeing talks of blizzard promising not to delete the original game upon OW2s release, only to then go and delete it. (Can’t verify how true this is at all)
Idk, I miss not having to pay for new heros n the overall vibe being pay to win.

"Overwatch 2" was the vision of a director who left Blizzard five years ago, and it never actually came to fruition, so dropping the 2 makes perfect sense (only surprise is that it took this long to happen)
