It’s glorious. I mean, if you’re gonna make a mistake, might as well go all in!
That is properly tragic!

Also, no thank you.
A system that can do this can probably have an armed drone follow you home, come in through your window and blow up in your bedroom.

Very pretty though.
An impressive (and, to be honest, terrifying video).

Over 16,000 drones flew up in the sky in China, setting a new Guinness record.

Just like last year, one computer was used to manage the whole show. The system tracked each drone in real time.
Then I think what the tunes of 1925 were when we were listening in 1975 and - this is how ancient this stuff must seem to my children! To me it’s still practically current.

A day at work, but it's all done now.

So, autumnal cocktailing with Fallen Leaves.

There’s a PS to this, which is that he WAS casting spells - to ‘resurrect’ his mates in some online game.

So, it’s good to know I recognise spell-casting when it’s happening under my roof!

😂🪄🧙🏼‍♂️
Me: But he is a weird one, that one.

18yo: ALL your children are weird ones.

Me: Mmmm. That’s true. I wonder where they get it from….?

Life in the shoe:

*sounds of weird humming from 25yo’s room, then chanted words, to a cadence not unlike the shipping forecast*

Me: I think he’s casting spells. Or conjuring demons…

18yo: I don’t think he’s summoning The Devil mum.

Me: Agreed. He’s an unlikely Satanist.

Up to the knee, or down to the knee? 🤔
Let’s have the Epstein files then, eh?
Revolver.

Wait! No!

Only kidding. Revolver.
You can only listen to ONE Beatles album for the rest of your life—which one do you choose?

The thing about writing is it's about *thinking* rather than about transcribing your thinking. That's a big reason why I'd never use AI to write (among many other reasons). I want to do the thinking! I've got a couple of anecdotes about this in case anyone is interested. 1/3 🧵⬇️

It's World Calvados Day, so here's a Widow's Kiss.

Gold dust! I’m manifesting* right now. 😂

*whatever the fuck that is.
You write it, I’ll watch it!
Missed that. I’m watching the Ruth Codd show.
Hi - thanks for asking, but I’d definitely rather be a viewer than in front of the camera!
9 Bodies was a great watch though, so I’m sure you’ll find plenty of people who will have something to say for the programme.
Just watched Episode 3 of Riot Women, and it was so exceptionally good (and gripping, and moving) that I can’t watch another episode just yet.

I’ll need to give it time.
Everyone now, no? I’m in.
Anyone else want start a punk band? #RiotWomen
Life in the shoe:

The good people at Diffords note today is the anniversary of the first Oktoberfest (1810, apparently), so cocktail of the day is a Munich Negroni Western Style, which sounds like it should be wrong in countless ways, but is fact is a subtly distinctive, nutty variation!

Sitting quietly in the kitchen and listening to the awesome sound of 20yo upstairs shredding his guitar like a total metal legend!
This sounds genuinely interesting. Successive governments have largely ignored or dicked about with the children's workforce since the CWDC was closed down, and in the absence of any govt strategy, this could be an answer.
An academy trust is to launch a 'one of its kind' higher education institute for non-graduates working with children to train as teachers, social workers, counsellors and SEND specialists

They (loudly, constantly) tell the third to stop marching up and down the carriage. But he's stompily fed up because he doesn't have a screen.

Briefly drowned out by a pair of lairy drunks, each proclaiming the other is "movin' farkin' mad, farks sake, why?" (2 stops only, thankfully).
