I often wonder about the cost of my shoulder surgery a couple of years ago - thank god for the NHS...
My Dad has had the second of two cataract operations this week. A quick search tells me that it would have cost him between $3,500 and $7000 per eye in the USA.
We must not let Streeting, Farage, or anyone else privatise and destroy the #NHS.

Must end fossil fuels now to stand any chance of stabilising climate now or in the future. The future is decided by what we do NOW.

Absolutely this 👇 We have some fantastic local indie businesses here in Worcester and if you’re going Christmas shopping, they’d love your support! 🙏
Remember - if you're financially in a position to do so, skip the #BlackFriday deals online from big companies and shop instead from small and local businesses.
The big guns don't need your money, but for small traders it can be what keeps them going into 2026, so support your community instead.

Councillor @alexmace.bsky.social took a stand against a Reform councillor’s hateful anti-immigrant questions at full council this week, and had some excellent questions of his own for Reform. Well done, Alex! 👏👏👏

If as Home Secretary you are looking at the significant reduction in people choosing to live and work in the UK and deciding it's a good idea to "go further" you've conclusively shown you aren't basing your policies on anything resembling reality. The repercussions would be devastating for everyone.

In 2024, UK billionaire wealth increased by £35m a day, or £12.7bn over the whole year. In the budget, the Labour Government increased taxes on ordinary people by more than that. Why is everyone but multi-millionaires and billionaires being asked to pay more? We need to tax wealth, not work.

Alongside many campaigners, the Green Party have absolutely dragged the Labour Government to finally end the child cap.

Labour politicians disgracefully defended it for far too long.

This shows why the Green Party membership rising and rising matters.

This Labour government continues to dance to Reform’s tune.
This is as bad as anything proposed by Reform.

Sickening rhetoric by Home Secretary. Denying access to human rights isn't "protecting the public". This is Labour further demonising those seeking asylum in language very reminiscent of the far right. Yes, some break the law, so should be prosecuted within the law. Removing rights is not the answer

Absolutely appalling. Even the tiniest, simplest measures to protect nature are unacceptable to this Labour government if said measures upset the lobbyists. 🤬
Swifts have declined 70% since 1994.

They fly from Africa to breed here, only to find we've blocked their nest sites.

A £35 swift brick nest box was proposed for all new buildings.

The construction industry lobbied Labour to block it.

Biodiversity sustains life. Labour sustains economic power.

Err, some introspection needed here, Labour! If you’re going to attack disabled people and immigrants while failing to tax the super-rich and dropping environmental pledges before even elected, you’re in no position to talk about others letting people down.

Labour were broken a long time ago.

Time to replace them with a party that actually represents everyone - not just the billionaires.

A party that rejects Reform - rather than copies them.

Time to make hope normal again.
