if there is one thing that drives repulsive old men completely insane, it’s “younger women who don’t smile enough.”

amazing how consistent this is
Trump to Kaitlan Collins after she pressed him on getting justice for Epstein survivors:

"No wonder CNN has no ratings because of people like you. You know, she‘s a young woman. I don‘t think I‘ve ever seen you smile. I‘ve known you for 10 years. I don‘t think I‘ve ever seen a smile in your face."

I really don’t care about Attia’s apology letter. Anyone who is this much star struck by a creepy pervert and feels it is ok to write those emails deserves all the criticism and disdain.

I am so disgusted by all these fanboys who raced to gain his favor by showing they are as vile as him.🤮

BHATTACHARYA: I do not believe that the measles vaccine causes autism

SANDERS: Nah. Uh uh. I didn't ask measles. Do vaccines cause autism?

BHATTACHARYA: I have not seen a study that suggests any single vaccine causes autism

As more people get their news from AI, even “accurate” answers can quietly shape what we think by highlighting some viewpoints and downplaying others.

People are getting their news from AI – and it’s altering their views
Even when information is factually accurate, how it's presented can introduce subtle biases. As large language models increasingly bring people the news, this bias is a looming problem.

I was a White House ethics lawyer.

I used to advise people not to even accept a free cup of coffee from someone who had interests before them. And staff followed those rules.

I can’t even find the words to describe the scale of Trump’s corruption here.
Foreign countries are bribing our president to sell out the American people.

Trump family businesses made $187 MILLION from this deal, and just months later he gave the UAE some of our most top-secret AI tech.

They are selling our national security to the highest bidder.

He does have a way of destroying things when things don’t go as he planned.
And Kennedy Center is no exception- except they fired him before he closed them down.
(By “them” obviously I mean the OG, not the recently appointed brown nosed losers.)

If camo’s built-in purpose is to avoid detection, ICE’s embrace of it is the opposite: They want maximum visibility. They are dressing for the war they want.

“What you’re seeing is the functionality of gear for legitimate, militarized purposes versus a type of postmodern, performative imagery."
ICE’s theater of war
Camo and hats for jungle combat do not make sense in American cities. But they are key to dressing for the war ICE has imagined.

Amateur hour in Minneapolis continues, even with Bovino out of the picture.

This is indicative of a broader issue with Trump’s mass deportation push; officers aren’t doing even basic investigations (to figure out things like “is this address a consulate”) as pressure to keep up arrests is so high.

Nearly half of the mortality gap between Black and White adults can be traced to the cumulative toll of stress and inflammation, a new study shows.

These two biomarkers bolster the “weathering hypothesis” that links systemic racism to health disparities. https://wapo.st/3ZBYlow

Change has never been easy. It takes persistence and determination, and requires all of us to speak out and stand up for what we believe in. As we honor Dr. King today, let’s draw strength from his example, and do our part to build on his legacy.

When I first came to the US I was amazed by the level of safety I felt here. As a Turkish person, first time in my life I did not feel nervous around security forces, was fascinated that I don’t need to carry my offical ID everywhere and could be asked to show it.
Well, sadly it lasted only 18 yrs.

This is beyond embarrassing. But I guess GOP crew should be more embarrassed to allow this to continue happening. It only would take a handful of people in senate who still have a backbone to stop this, but I guess they all turned to jellyfish and don’t care anything but their wealth and seats now.
