Just finished 'The Final Girl Support Club' by @gradyhendrix.bsky.social. I think it's his best yet. I thought I was always conscious of my surroundings, but now I feel like I walk round with my head in the clouds when really I should be eyes to the ground memorising people's footwear. Yikes!

I'm so behind with everything I wanted to do today and it's all @ellygriffiths.bsky.social fault. I started reading 'The Frozen People' and just couldn't stop. What a great start to a new series (it is going to be a series isn't it?)

Just finished 'If It Makes You Happy' by @hannahlogan21.bsky.social. I'm already craving the sequel.

I'm really excited to start reading the ARC of 'If It Makes You Happy' which I've just received from @hannahlogan21.bsky.social. It's out in May just in time for those summer holidays.

Last Saturday I was on a tour of Everton's Goodison Park ground. It's not going to be there for much longer as they're moving into a new stadium next season. It was good to get the chance to see one of the old-fashioned grounds. Loved how it was right in the heart of the local community.

Last night's Burns Night supper. Haggis (veggie), neeps & tatties with whisky sauce and cranachan for dessert. And plenty left for today too.

The red lanterns are all in place for Chinese new year. This is Manchester Central Library with the town hall in the background.

Listened to @lucindahawksley.bsky.social talking to Andrew Dickens at Destinations travel show yesterday. They made smoking bishop. I now want to read her books (all of them). And I REALLY want to try smoking bishop.

Did You Even Consider Every Possible Lived Experience Before Recklessly Posting Your Chili Recipe on Social Media?
Look, I get it. You thought what you posted was innocuous. Still, did you stop to think about everyone who has ever lived and how it could make the...

Really Google AI?? I suppose you could get a Northlink ferry to Fair Isle as they do go past it. But you'd have to jump out and swim.

Word of the day is ‘librocubicularist’: one who loves nothing better than reading in bed.

(Not easy to say, but I’m glad to know it exists).

Just finished 'Someone in the Attic' by @andreamara.bsky.social. Love it when I read a good book and realise the author has written lots more for me to look forward to reading.

Quick look round one of Manchester's Christmas markets this afternoon before I got the tram home from a meeting. It's no fun in the pouring rain though - I didn't even have a gluhwein!

The light, the reflections, the solitary figure. I can't believe this is an artist I've only recently discovered.
Lots of love for the Grimshaw scene I posted yesterday, so here’s another. I love the way he captures the moonlight in this one.
