This account exists in support of Into the Greenwood. A podcast for exploring what we can learn by examining the legends of Robin Hood.

Followers can expect history, folklore, & nerdery. But also politics, it would be a failure to truly engage w/ our subject if we eschewed socio-political content.

I'm not using any dating apps, but I have used them in the past. I met my partner on OKCupid.

It could be a difficult and dispiriting experience, one that could even undermined my sense of self-worth. But it never undermined my sense of self.

They're effectively saying that anyone who is ideologically opposed to them can be categorized as a terrorist and therefor have their assets seized, be imprisoned, or even be targeted by military action. What this portends is chilling.

The film's biggest selling point is all of the acrobatic action employed by Lancaster and Nick Cravat, his childhood friend and fellow former circus performer.

Last night I watched The Flame and the Arrow w/ Burt Lancaster.
It's about an outlaw and archer who leads a band in the forest where they steal the taxes collected by the oppressive nobles. Oh and there's a romance with a noble lady.
It's more of a Robin Hood movie than several Robin Hood movies.

This past week I've been seeing ads all over Bristol that depict people using ChatGPT to help them with simple tasks and chores.

Literally a photo of a woman stirring a pot with one hand and holding her phone in the other.

What are we even doing here?

AI isn't getting smarter. AI people are getting stupider.
haydenjohnsonn.bsky.social
every AI ad is like

“hey gemini, what would i have for lunch?”

and then the phone is like

“sandwich”

and the guy is like

“wow”

Hey @paulgcornish.bsky.social, Don Taylor as Robin Hood in this movie always strongly reminds me of the Mike Grell Oliver Queen.

We covered 'Men of Sherwood Forest' way back on episode 16 of the podcast and were genuinely shocked at the the quality of this early Hammer Film swashbuckler!

I consider this a proper hidden gem amongst all of the Robin Hood films out there! 🏹🎥
