Les extrabajadores de Tequila Works afiliades a CGT queremos publicar nuestra experiencia con el ERE, exponiendo malas prácticas que han llevado a que compañeres pierdan derechos. El ERE duró meses en los que siempre estuvimos en situación de incertidumbre e inestabilidad.

La ola reaccionaria que recorre el mundo tiene en el punto de mira a los grupos de población más amenazados. Migrantes, mujeres, el colectivo LGBTQI+... No queda otra más que luchar, pelear en cualquier frente y de cualquier manera. La pérdida de derecho de tan solo uno de estos miembros de la población, es la pérdida de derechos de cualquiera de nosotres. El mundo se vuelve más pequeño, más oscuro, más inhóspito cada vez que perdemos a una persona por la maldad ajena, pero también por la pasividad de aquellos que pudiendo hacer algo, deciden no hacer nada. Según el último informe de la Game Developers Conference, tan solo el 35% de les trabajadores de la industria del videojuego es hombre, blanco y no perteneciente a la comunidad LGBTQI+. ¿Qué perdemos entonces cuando las empresas, unilateralmente, decide deshacerse de sus políticas de diversidad, que ya de entrada eran apenas un mecanismo para limpiar su conciencia frente a la población? Nos perdemos a nosotras mismas. Desaparecemos en la noche de la historia, solo para que aquellos que se alzan como los autores de la misma señalen que nunca hemos existido, que somos, constantemente, una novedad anómala, un moda pasajera. En 2024, el 41% de la gente que respondió a la encuesta de la GDC dice haber sufrido los despidos masivos de manera directa o indirecta. ¿Quién permanece en la industria? ¿Qué historias, qué juegos, qué ideas se financian y nacen en el mundo en un momento como el que estamos viviendo? Según la Agencia de los Derechos Fundamentales de la Unión Europea, el 77% de las mujeres trans ha sufrido discriminción al buscar trabajo, un 47% la ha sufrido en el mismo trabajo y un 58% ni siquiera se atreve a contar y hablar de su identidad en el puesto laboral. No podemos asumir que la industria del videojuego es distinta a este respecto. Tampoco podemos fiarnos de aquellos que nos ignoran. No podemos depender de las empresas ni de sus patronales, que recurrentemente dicen estar preocupados por nosotras y estar trabajando a nuestro favor y por nuestro bien, pero año tras años silencian y borran nuestra existencia. Es una batalla en la que tan solo nos tenemos unas a otras como compañeras de lucha. Desgraciadamente, no solo tendremos que señalar lo obvio, sino seguir reclamando y luchando por ello. Los derechos sociales de la clase trabajadora, de las mujeres, de la gente migrante, las personas trans… Todos sus derechos están en el punto de mira, si no han sido ya eliminados. Tenemos que luchar, defendernos. Por nosotres. Por elles.

Statement from the CGT-CSVI Union branch at UBISOFT BARCELONA
Statement from Ubisoft workers regarding call for a strike Ubisoft Barcelona workers, supported by CGT, have called a strike which will take place on the 13th February. During last months, around 500 of our coworkers worldwide have been laid off, and three development studios haven been closed. Those of us who remains employed have experienced cuts in benefits, including remote work. Poor economic results is the excuse that we hear over and over, not considering that this problem comes as a consequence of many bad decisions taken for years, and taken unilaterally by directive positions in Ubisoft, who ignore employees' claims. Different development teams, who are the main asset in the company, are suffering the consequences of the incompetence of people in charge, who have never admitted their mistakes and only assume consequences when they are forced to (like happened with terrible harassment cases where directive positions were involved in 2020). Due to this, and in coordination with the French union STJV, we want to join the general video games industry strike, called for next 13th of February. Our claims are, in the short term, an official recognition of the CGT union council created in Ubisoft Barcelona, and immediate cancellation of return to office policies (which we already denounced as illegal); and in the long term, the creation of channels and real commitment to establish negotiations, in a way that better working conditions and workers representation can be achieved.

Comunicado de los trabajadores de Ubisoft acerca de la huelga convocada Los trabajadores de Ubisoft Barcelona, de la mano de CGT, hemos convocado una jornada de huelga para el día 13 de Febrero. En los últimos meses, aproximadamente 500 de nuestros compañeros alrededor del globo han sido despedidos, y tres estudios de desarrollo han sido clausurados. Los que permanecemos hemos visto el recorte de muchos de nuestros derechos, entre los que se incluye el trabajo remoto. La falta de rentabilidad del grupo empresarial es siempre la excusa, ignorando que esta falta de rentabilidad proviene de numerosas malas decisiones a lo largo de los años, tomadas unilateralmente por la cúpula directiva de Ubisoft, que hace oídos sordos a toda reivindicación de sus empleados. Los desarrolladores, principal activo de la empresa, estamos pagando la incompetencia de las personas al mando, que jamás han reconocido sus errores, solo aceptan sus consecuencias cuando se les fuerza a ello (como los terribles casos de acoso que sacudieron a su cúpula directiva durante el año 2020). Por eso, y en coordinación con el sindicato francés STJV, nos queremos sumar a la Huelga General del Videojuego, convocada en toda Francia para el jueves 13 de Febrero. Nuestras reivindicaciones son, a corto plazo, el reconocimiento oficial de la sección sindical de CGT en Ubisoft Barcelona, y la pausa inmediata e indefinida de las políticas de reducción de trabajo remoto (cuya ilegalidad ya denunciamos en su momento); y a largo plazo, el establecimiento de canales y compromisos reales de negociación, que puedan llevar a mejoras de las condiciones de trabajo y la representatividad de los trabajadores.

This is on a fresh Windows 11 install:
2025-01 Cumulative update will not install (error code: 0x800f0905) and in Windows Update it is recommending I "Reinstall my current version of windows to repair system files and components". This OS sucks.
