Pre-Covid mortgage rates were 4% or lower. You’re gonna have to get back there to see numbers close to pre-covid home sales. But even then, prices have skyrocketed so you’ll get less.

Homes are just locked out of people’s reach, and I don’t think non-recessionary policy will break that mold.

If you can’t afford the double meat burrito with queso and chips, you buy the burrito without double meat, queso, and chips.

If you can’t afford to buy the burrito at all, you avoid buying the burrito.

It’s very simple.

People justifying the $CMG crash by saying it isn’t worth it to buy the $17 burrito are missing the point.

The consumer is just spending less. Overall consumption is still growing because the rich are growing their spending. Most consumers are pulling back.

I do tend to believe in a surface-level definition of manhood, but that’s just an extension of believing that women are the better sex and that it’s a woman’s world. But that incentivizes me to be my best as a man, not to want to lord over a harem or whatever these guys want.
