As the Queen herself flew down amongst mankind
To find the Pink Maiden and have her confined
The Prince of man could feel the heat as it came
Sweltering and torching the land that he claimed
He gathered the Maiden, and her pink feathered babes

But Owl was waiting to pounce in the dark
Owl, triumphant, having slain their own kin
Approached now the Queen, to defend the Maiden
The Sun rose above, burning with fury at Eagle’s demise
Scorching Owl’s feathers and singing their eyes
Owl blew away like ash in the wind

The Eagle soared high, while the Owl lay low
Calculating every move of their foe
Eagle pierced the night air with a victorious screech
As Owl moved in slow in a shadowy creep
An Eagle can see far, but not in the night
An advantage for Owl, never awake in the light
Eagle swooped in, sure of his mark

In the shadow encompassed shell of a tree
The Owl was watching the Robin with pity
Consumed with regret, for what they must do
They returned to the Realms to deny what was true
The Eagle knew the Owl was trying to deceive
And challenged their friend for the villainous deed

A human Prince had taken her in
Moved, not by her beauty, but the songs she would sing
By day the Maiden would sing while man held its breath
At midnight she would return in feathers to rest
The Prince would keep watch from his balcony above
While the Pink Maiden warmed the eggs from their love

The jealous Prince Jay could no longer wait
And looked for the Maiden, and make her his mate
While the Celestial Realm, desperately searched
The Pink Maiden had moved into a palatial new perch

Above in the trees, the Eagle saw all
And whispered to Owl of the Pink Maiden’s fall
The King cautioned his Queen to not pursue further
But the Queen told the Moon she must be recovered
And beckoned the Eagle to return Robin home

There the Jay found her, naked and chaste
But the Pink Maiden escaped, the guards sent in haste
Downward she flew, the branches tearing her flesh
She was found in the morning, in a pretty pink dress
The Robin, now human, was discovered by man

She ordered the Robin to tend to the court
Performing melodious duties of humiliation galore
She was plucked at, her feathers torn from her breast
As the Sun sneered and the Jay puffed up his chest
In the moonlight the Robin found a trickling stream

Comprised of feathers with shinier hue
In the lower branches the lesser flock toiled and bled
But amongst them stands out a Robin in pink, not in Red
Her feathers stood out wherever she flew
Catching the eye of the Jay and his crew
The Sun in her tower, grew jealous of this

Stick fast to their Queen, as confides and spies
The Princeling, a ruinous Jay
Blue-blooded and cruel to all that he may
Among the court, it is written there are commoner few

That was $600 wasted. After some financial finagling, we decided to get a #Hexclad set. It arrived yesterday and they are beautiful with a life time warranty. They cook really well, and heat more evenly. Hopefully they last.

#NinjaCookware sucks. It's supposed to have this powder coating that is metal proof and dishwasher safe. We just replaced them after 2 1/2 years, and they were done at 1. We just couldn't afford to replace them. The outside paint was chipping off, and the powder coating was pitted and flaking.
