What a farce! I got a 60% price (way above the price cap) increase and Ofwat did nothing when I told them. They don't enforce the cap so this is all hot air. Ofwat not fit for purpose
A year of reasons why Ofwat should just say NO to Thames Water's outrageous deal - polluting our water until 2040.

JANUARY: Thames Water's creditors push for £3bn bailout - at a potential cost of £250/year to customers.

The response needs to be clear, don't buy a German car! #savetheplanet
The EU Commission has bent to pressure from Germany and the car industry, taking the first steps to scrap the phase-out date for new petrol and diesel cars

Climate-heating emissions from transport are rising, and air pollution kills too many each year

No new polluting cars – more public transport
Car industry spinning wheels as EU prolongs petrol and diesel - Greenpeace European Unit
The European Commission is making a U-turn on commitments to phase out petrol and diesel cars in the EU starting in 2035.

Wise words from Mia Mottley on the urgent need to cut methane emissions (the ‘emergency brake’ on warming), and to turn the voluntary ‘methane pledge’ agreed at COP26 into a legally binding agreement:

The oil and gas industry must be legally bound to cut methane emissions. With climate tipping points approaching, time is running out, says the prime minister of Barbados, Mia Mottley

Thames Water is teetering but wants to pay £2.5m bonus to execs.

Wants to bypass regulations by classifying bonuses as "retention payments".

Prices rose by 31%+ this year. Sewage dumped in rivers, leaks unplugged.

Privatisation = Abuses and insanity.

As I say here, this is not about saving the planet. The planet will be orbiting the sun long after we’re gone.

The question is, will there be a healthy, thriving human society on that planet? The answer to that question is very much up for grabs at this point.

3C of heating makes our current global society unlivable, by the way. Parts of Spain become the Sahara, eg.
