Another reminder that a 13-year study found that protected bike-lanes led to a drastic decline in fatalities for all road users.

ALL ROAD USERS.

And painted bike-lanes? No safety improvement at all.

For sharrows, it’s actually safer to NOT have them.

@vonderleyen.ec.europa.eu A 1-year delay of the EU Deforestation Law #EUDR means 31,536,000 more trees lost- harming forests, people, and the climate, damaging investments and innovation and destroying the EU’s credibility.

#StopVonDelaying. Keep your promises: fully implement the law as planned.

$5.9bn = the amount spent annually on protecting and restoring forests

$409bn = the amount of subsidies going to agriculture industries destroying forests

Anyone else see the problem here?
The Guardian: "'Dismal' health of world's forests is threat to humanity, report warns. Financial institutions pouring money into land clearance and undermining efforts to stop destruction, says Climate Focus. Jonathan Watts, 14th Oct."

The Spectator (owned by GBNews owner Paul Marshall - estimated wealth of £800 million) doesn’t like taxing wealth fairly.

I wonder how they got to this editorial decision?

Let’s tax wealth fairly, fund front line services & make hope normal again.

Thames Water increased my bill by 120% and won't explain it. Ofwat say its CCW's job to help with this issue and now CCW say its Ofwat. The water system is truly broken for the customer.
