A fun question. In 5 years time, what looks better? The US’s enormous bet & capex on AI? Or China’s equally enormous bet and capex on renewables?

Using the notwithstanding clause to stop legal challenge to back-to-work legislation is a nuclear event for all unions. Will it lead to a general strike in Alberta? It certainly should lead to the Supreme Court establishing Constitutional limits to the clause, or else we have no rights and freedoms.
At 2 a.m., the Alberta legislature passed a bill that will force 51,000 teachers back to work, impose a four-year contract and use the notwithstanding clause to stave off a legal challenge and suspend teacher bargaining at the local level. It includes fines for Ts and the ATA if they defy it. #AbLeg

Okay, I'm all in for the Blue Jays.
1) AL East representing. Toughest division in MLB
2) Fuck the bigger payroll always.
3) Canada deserves something nice after all the bloviating and assholery they've endured from us these nine months.

Yeah, Cali v. Trump. But Newsom can troll with other stuff.

And all because Danielle Smith wanted to appease the lunatic conspiracy theorists in her party and drive down voting numbers.
Elections Calgary has really been trying to get that message out for the last few days. The switch to hand counting has made the election way more complex and way more costly than the tabulators were.

Useless. Give teachers a fair deal so we can have great schools.

We have no practical way to use this money to alleviate the strike impact. Are we to buy more foreign tv subscriptions?

Q: My condolences on the loss of your friend Charlie Kirk. How are you holding up?

TRUMP: I think very good. And by the way, right there you see all the trucks. They just started construction of the new ballroom for the White House, which is something they've been trying to get for about 150 years.

This Neko Case album clicked for me in a way music sometimes does. On loop in a tent for tree planting in the middle of nowhere. Lawlessness, trust in animals more than people, trees, stars, small towns, hardship. A vibe beyond its parts for a time and place.
