When I see cops on TV shows telling colleagues to “trust their gut”, I think “my gut convinced me I was only going to break wind after a squid curry in Alicante in 1997, yet I had to penguin-walk back to the hotel wishing I had a couple of bicycle clips”. Trusting it is way down the list.
