Could backfire on them. They have to make their safe districts less safe to do it. If the economy does collapse it could be a huge pickup for the Dems.
Does that mean they match their ethics to look pretty rather than have ethics that are lovely?
There was a John Cusack movie, Max, dealing with a Jewish artist mentoring Hitler in lates 20s Austria. I remember him commenting on Hitler’s esthetic for Nazi regalia.
Could be they’re stalling for time waiting for Trump to go too far (Qatari Air Force base, giant measles outbreak, kill a five-year-old) or the economy to collapse.
Theoretically they’re a co-equal branch, but they don’t have an armed-wing.
