Hundreds here at metro detention center, after the no kings rally. LAPD has blocked off the area in front of the detention center with tape and a police line, some officers carrying “less lethal” launchers. Tensions palpable but nothing physical.

Many hundreds of people were out protesting in my sleepy corner of the burbs, in fact there were four demonstrations along a roughly five mile stretch of road going through three towns you've never heard of.

So that's pretty cool. And pretty good.

/2 here so close to LA there are many hats, shirts, stickers and license plates reflecting devotion to the hated evil empire, and someone was playing its fight music. And some UCLA stuff too.
