I'm at a weird place right now. As a mom, I'm doing my damnedest to give my kids a normal fun summer because the future, more than ever, is uncertain. We watched Elio today, and all I did was cry. I cried because we are awful. I cried because when our species has a choice, we seem to choose hate.

My daughter's and I were hit by a car while walking in a driveway. It knocked me and my oldest daughter on our asses and flipped my youngest in her stroller. She was 2. Even now, at 9 yrs old, she is anxious walking in front of running cars. They remember trauma.

Well, I finally had a celebrity sighting on the universal tram ride. I just wish it was Keke Palmer, (who is actually filming the burbs on colonial streey) and not Vin Disel (who gave us a half hearted peace sign as he sped past us). Oh well, maybe next time.
