Got the exact right amount of stoned to watch Mad God and it was such a treat. Just a panoramic, leisurely amble through Hell; made with love, peppered with delightful little details and a cute, almost childlike sense of humor. In a just world, this would be Cozy Horror.

As a post-script-

I'll certainly admit my bias here.

As a voracious reader, it's hard not to feel a little let down by contemporary trends in fantasy- the emphasis on comfort, the sanitization of theme, the dumbing down of prose to the level of gamebooks, the sanding of all edges, etc.
