One day, I'll make a coffee table train layout. Great Job!
rincewind-unseenu.bsky.social
After quite a few months, I’ve reached about 90% completion of my coffee table/model train set. It is made from maple and walnut, with plexiglass sides and top. It’s about 80 percent scrap wood, and bits and pieces I found at thrift stores over the years. I’m really happy with it.
A rectangular box on short legs sits in the middle of a carpet. The box itself is mostly plexiglass, with dark brown walnut wood on top and light maple on the sides. It encloses two winter scenes. But try and get her shape is divided diagonally, each side, showing a slightly different scene. One side of the train set showing a winter country scene, a snowy landscape with lots of pine trees, two train tracks run around it, over a frozen river and lake, and buy a station with several park, cars, and people collecting their luggage after the train has dropped them off Another overview of the train set coffee table, showing it at a slight angle. It is a rectangular box, on short legs. The sides and top are mostly plexiglass with a wooden frame. A close-up photo of a building on the model train set. This is a brightly colored, red and white, 50s style diner. On the roof is the sign midnight burger in red white and bright yellow

Even though it may not look like it from our socials, steam trains are not the dominant train in America. Find out more about the different types of railfans on our podcast, StackTalk with the Railbrothers! Check out our linktr.ee/railbrothers for wherever to listen. #steamtrain #railfan #podcast

Still remember that song. Usually like to watch this on Halloween.

If you ever wanted to feel like you were living on a model railroad, you should have been at the Woodstown Central Railroad during a photo charter #steamlocomotive #steamtrain #dieseltrain #southjersey
Looking straight out of a model railroad. Woodstown Central #9, a 1942 Alco 0-6-0 steam locomotive pulls a small freight past the pond at Mannington Mills Notching up the throttle, the pair of ex Reading FP7s charges across the small bridge just south of Woodstown. A local freight headed by Steam Locomotive #9 waits on the spur for the FP7s to come through with the passenger train. Waiting at the crossing.

"Great Big Baked Potato"
as served on all NORTHERN PACIFIC Dining Cars

Dr. Harvey Wiley Says:
"You have one of the best illustrations of what can be done in feeding people along the right lines, with the right kind of food, in the dining car service of the Northern Pacific Railway. The food served and
its preparation should be a model for every railroad and hotel in America. Much of the food they serve comes from their own model farms and the way it is prepared should be copied by others who wish to serve the public with food that is healthful."

That feeling when you finally edit a bunch of photos you have been sitting on for a while. I guess I should post some?

Sounds like the Delaware RR has finished the restoration on their steam locomotive, Susquehanna 142, and should be heading up their pumpkin trains this October! Excited to see this locomotive out on the rails again. #steamlocomotive #steamtrain #steamengine #northjersey #delawareriver

I felt this way and now I have a T-trak module set that’s fits on my former dining room (now kids toy room) table…
hioo01.bsky.social
That's really neat, also the barbie one is really creative.

Exactly, the plan is to have something done for the Springfield show in January so we can put them together there

Trying out N-Scale model trains by building some T-Trak modules! Now the question is, what scenery should I put on these modules? #nscale #ttrak #modeltrains #modelrailroads #modelrailway #ngauge #katounitrack #uploadexpress

This is an excellent point, and game stores are fast becoming a go to third space. A group of us even set up our model trains at one from time to time.
