You're welcome! The oil is less dense than the PB so it will rise to the top. Usually once it's mixed you're mostly ok, but it helps reduce some of the oil mess the first time around.

A good tip in the future is to store the PB upside down so that the oil starts to mix in and then you don't have quite as much mess when you open it.
