In the 90s I associated DC/Warner Bros with a certain rarified distinction. Batman art deco, Studio Stores, bugs and daffy in tuxes, animaniacs making references I did not understand

Were 90s kids clamoring for a Batman cartoon with 1930s Art Deco aesthetics? Is that what the market demanded? Or did some really smart creative people have a vision and make a genre-defining hit that sustained 20 years of TV shows? If you want success look for vision, not just metrics.

Archer-class update! Meet the USS Reykjavík. #WIP

Still much to do because I want to give this ship a decent amount of detail, but I'm happy with the foundations.
The Archer-class USS Reykjavík, a Blender 2.5D model loosely in the Star Trek Animated Series style. This work-in-progress render has a little travel pod buddy! High angle rear view. I plan to recess and/or round the windows a bit, since they're so large in relation to the ship. I *may* also do something to suggest detail behind the windows, like simple interiors or texture trickery. But probably not. Low angle rear showing emblem and glowy impulse engines. I think I will give these a grille or sth. Again, more detail needed at this proximity. And look, I remembered to update the year on my sig! So smart. Underside. Two rear landing legs are supposed to come out of the tiny hatches at the back of the saucer. I'm not going to burn braincells trying to make that work. If this thing ever needs to land, I'll just shoot it from above. 😝

It's fascinating to see the changes in one company's logo over the years.
A bunch of microsoft logos from the 70s, 80s, 90s and today but instead of saying Microsoft all of them spell Microslop in the vibe of the original logos.
