I’ve decided for 2026 I’m not setting a number reading goal (I’ve never liked this anyway), I’m going to make a list from my TBR to tackle - anything read in addition will just be icing on the cake.

Once I have my list together I’ll try to share for accountability purposes 😂

I managed to mostly keep up with tracking my reading this year and it looks like I came in just shy of twenty, finishing 19 books (albeit I probably missed logging a couple) 😂 as someone who loved to read, fell off, and has been working to build that habit back - I’m pleased! #booksky

I read Lilith from Nikki Marmery over a week ago (in just two short days) and I’m still thinking about it and will continue thinking about it for some time. It’s an absolute must read. I cannot remember the last time a book sucked me into its pages and spit me out like this.

Hey #BookSky I’m dying to hear which book you’re most looking forward to diving into over the holidays. I’ve got a stack on my bedside table and I’m having a hard time deciding where to start 🤔

1) Subscribe to authors who are leaving substack because we should support people doing the right thing

2) the below tale is exactly why writers need to get off substack while it is still feasible—it’s going to be harder and harder to leave and take your people with you, for a variety of reasons.
THREAD.
Some thoughts on moving a subscriber list away from Substack - for various reasons, some political, some personal, some about not wanting to give part of my income to venture capitalists - and something very very strange (and a little scary) that has happened as a result of it...

I’ve been wanting to share some of my spooky reads from this month, but the month has really gotten away from me 😭 will try to post later today since it’s okay to be spooky year around and not just seasonally #HorrorCommunity #HorrorSky

For posterity's sake (and bc I'm feeling nostalgic) I'm re-cataloging my annual #31DaysofHorror lists past, present and future 🧵

The lists are as they were when last watched and, looking back, I lowkey love seeing this little labor of love evolve #Horror #HorrorCommunity #Halloween #HorrorSky

The first week of October was a comedy of errors, but better late than never (and perfectly on brand) this year’s #31DaysofHorror theme is: HORROR COMEDY.

I needed a few laughs to offset the screaming given *gestures* everything, so I curated this year’s list with love, light, and FRIGHT in mind.

This is my first year doing #31DaysofHorror on Bluesky so y’all won’t have any idea what I’m talking about, but I decided on horror comedy for this year’s theme at the last minute and I am having so much fun finishing it up rn 😂

Of course people are worried. How can you find another job when there are no jobs? You don’t need a survey to tell you this is a concern, it’s common sense.

I’m interested in connecting with #recruiters in the #communications and #marketing space who specialize in international placements. I have a couple names, but seeking recs. The job market in the US is bleak, I guess it’s time to look at taking my talents elsewhere! #storytelling #writingcommunity

Both of those stores are wonderful! Vanness is a treasure if you like samples.

I also always shill for Cardinal Pens and Paper, formerly Anderson Pens. Lovely people and great service. (I am not family!)

One of my fave fountain pen inks is discontinued so, I started scouring the internet for bottles to stock up. I ended up ordering from two different small businesses and they both included nice little handwritten notes inside 😭 this is why shopping small matters, y’all. Will drop their info below:

Not sure if they’re discontinuing the colors or what… but if you don’t think I’m scouring the internet to get my hands on as many of the last bottles of this new fountain pen ink I’m obsessed with rn after seeing “final batch” on the company’s website, you’re wrong.
