There is no piece of literature with inherent universal value; you should read widely and develop your own canon. Zines about building a DIY dick pump out of a bike repair kit mean more to me culturally and are more relevant to my life than Walden, and I'm good with that.

I don't really like gender-segregated spaces as a trans person. They always involve a judgment call as to who is allowed to be somewhere, it is always based on appearance, and there's always someone who has not processed their internalized bigotry who can't wait to police the boundaries. I'm good.

I could not come up with a better epitaph than that. Because whether Scott Thompson likes it or not, I’m one of the fags that loved his work back in the day. And I’m also disgusted by fags debasing themselves by trying to become respectable, especially when it’s an old bitter queen like Scott. He can cry about being censored by the left all he likes, but that’s a meaningless stance when you’re carrying water for the Trump administration. There’s only one faggot in this conversation who agrees with the President of the United States, and it sure as hell ain’t me.
